For this project, I wanted to explore the community that is seen within the sport of roller derby. The team I followed was the Hellions of Troy, based in Schenectady, NY. Many of the players have been playing for various lengths of time and people of all ages are there as well. In this series of photos, I wanted to display not only the many different types of people that are involved but also the nostalgia for the roller rink and the amount of passion you can feel for the sport through the faces of the players.
